Exams and Credits
In allen Lehrveranstaltungen können entweder Leistungsnachweise bzw.
Scheine (unbenotet oder benotet) erworben werden. Je nach Prüfungsordnung
des Studiengangs ist auch eine Prüfung möglich, die über das
Prüfungsamt angemeldet werden.
Für Leistungsnachweise gilt:

In allen Lehrveranstaltungen sind Vorlesung und Übung aufeinander
abgestimmt. Aus diesem Grund werden Scheine grundsätzlich nur für
die Kombination von Besuch der Vorlesung und der erfolgreichen
Teilnahme an der Übung vergeben.

Grundsätzlich gilt: für die Erlangung von Leistungsnachweisen
müssen alle ausgegebenen Aufgaben erfolgreich bearbeitet worden
sein (bestätigt durch OK des Betreuers) und am Ende der Vorlesungszeit
eine Klausur (bei größerer Teilnehmerzahl) oder eine
mündliche Rücksprache
(bei kleinerer Teilnehmerzahl) bestanden werden. Für einen unbenoteten
Schein sind 50 % der Punkte notwendig, für einen benoteten Schein ergibt
sich die Note aus der erhaltenen Punktezahl (es wird immer das gleiche
lineare Notenschema verwendet). Entsprechendes gilt für die mündliche
Rücksprache.

Weitere oder abweichende Regeln werden in den einzelnen
Lehrveranstaltungen angegeben.

Für Prüfungen gilt:

Der Inhalt der Übungen der Lehrveranstaltungen ist grundsätzlich auch
Gegenstand der Prüfungen. Die Bearbeitung der Übungsaufgaben wird
dringend empfohlen. Fragen dazu sind zu erwarten!

Bei der Wahl von Prüfungsfach und Schwerpunktfach gelten für
Studierende der Informatik folgende Regeln:

Prüfungsfach Kommunikationssysteme: die Prüfung setzt sich
aus den Inhalten von Kommunikationssysteme und weiteren
Lehrveranstaltungen im Umfang von 4 SWS des gesamten
Lehrstuhlangebots zusammen. Soll Kommunikationssysteme als
Schwerpunktfach gewählt werden, so kann ein benoteter Schein bzw.
können benotete Scheine im Gesamtumfang von 4 SWS aus dem gesamten
Lehrstuhlangebot hinzugefügt werden.

Prüfungsfach Systemsimulation: Es kann gewählt werden,
ob die diskrete oder kontinuierliche Simulation Gegenstand
der Prüfung ist. Bei Wahl der diskreten Simulation setzt sich
die Prüfung aus den Inhalten von Simulation and Modeling I
und Simulation and Modeling II zusammen. Soll Systemsimulation
als Schwerpunktfach gewählt werden, so kann es ergänzt werden durch
einen Schein in Dienstgüte von Kommunikationssystemen.
Systemsimulation kann nur einmal als Prüfungsfach gewählt werden.
Kontinuierliche Simulation wird in Lehrveranstaltungen des Lehrstuhls
Informatik 10 (Systemsimulation) vermittelt und geprüft.

In all lectures, proofs of attendance and credits can be obtained.
Depending on the examination regulations ("Prüfungsordnung")
of the respective field of study it is also possible to take
part in an exam for which you have to register at the examination
office ("Prüfungsamt").
For proofs of attendance/credits ("unbenotete/benotete Scheine"):

Exercice courses are complementary for all lectures. For this
reason, proofs of attendance and credits can only be given for
a combination of attending the lectures and successfully taking
part in the exercise courses.

|
As a basic principle for obtaining proofs of attendance or credits,
all assignments have to be completed successfully (as approved by
the trainer of the course). Additionally, a written (for a large number of
participants) or oral (for a small number of participants) test at the
end of the lecture session has to be passed. For a proof of attendance,
the score has to be 50 % of all obtainable points, for a credit, the
grade is determined by the number of points obtained (always according
to the same linear scale). The same applies for oral tests accordingly.

Additional or different regulations will be announced
in the individual lectures.

For exams:
|
As a basic principle, the content of the exercise courses
for the lectures is part of the exams. It is highly
recommended to complete the assignments. Questions
about topics presented in assignments are possible!

The following rules apply for selecting a
subject for exams ("Prüfungsfach") and a main focus of study
("Schwerpunktfach"):

Exam in Communication Systems:
The exam is composed of the contents of
Communication Systems ("Kommunikationssysteme")
and additional lectures offered by the department of
Computer Science 7 (Comupter Networks and Communication
Systems) with a total of four semester periods per week
("Semesterwochenstunden").
When selecting Communication Systems as a main focus
of study, credits for additional lectures with a
total of four semester periods per week are needed.

Exam in System Simulation:
You can select discrete or continous simulation as
a subject for the exam. When selecting discrete
simulation, the exam is composed of the contents
of Simulation and Modeling I and Simulation and
Modeling II. When selecting System Simulation as
a main focus, an additional credit in Quality of Service
of Communication Systems ("Dienstgüte von
Kommunikationssystemen") can be added.
System Simulation can only be selected once as a subject for
an exam.
Lectures and exams about continous simulation are offered
by the Department of Computer Science 10 (System Simulation).
