Fault-Tree-Synthesis based on Component-Dependences

Poster FTS_CDM

In modern premium cars, assistance functions get more and more complex. Additional new functions are interacting with the driving physics like acceleration and breaking. Due to this, a malfunction can harm the occupants of the assisted car plus those inside surrounding cars or on the road.

Therefore, even unexpected malfunctions of ECUs have to be detected and tolerated. The development of this fault tolerance is done based on the method called fault tree analysis. A further evolution of this method is done by the fault tree syntheses[1].

The open thesis is trying to combine the method of fault tree syntheses and test case selection by component dependences.
